Ceramic Works

four small expresso mugs stacked with alternating glaze colors
three mugs in a triangle formation. all have the same green glaze with gold and brown streaks/spots
two mugs with blue glaze, the glaze does not reach the bottom of the mug, leaving the raw clay seen
a small plate meant for earrings with blue glaze making a dripped pattern over white glaze

two mugs, one being held. they are not glazed yet and have the same eye carved into them as before.

Why Ceramics and Animation?

This is a question I get asked a lot, Why have I chosen these two very different mediums?

Because they balance themselves out, it's as simple as that!

Animation is a very digital work and it can take a long time to start seeing the work you've put in. Ceramics, however, is a tactile art. It's messy and hands-on, it can take mere minutes to take a lump of mud and turn it into a mug.
